The Verizon Foundation -


The Verizon Foundation is the philanthropic arm of Verizon. It is dedicated to solving critical social issues in the areas of education, healthcare and energy management, particularly in underserved communities.
The Verizon Foundation supports projects that promote Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (“STEM”), including, for example, summer or after school programs, teacher training, and research on improving learning in STEM areas through the use of technology.

IEEE PES -

The Power & Energy Society (PES) is the world's largest forum for sharing the latest in technological developments in the electric power industry, for developing standards that guide the development and construction of equipment and systems, and for educating members of the industry and the general public. The local PES Chapter and the Arizona State University Student Chapter of PES provides both financial and volunteer student support to the AZ Science Lab.

NXP Semiconductors -


NXP Semiconductors creates solutions to help build a smarter world. NXP is driving innovation in the areas of connected cars, cyber security, portables & wearables, and the Internet of Things.
NXP believes in making a positive difference in the communities where we live and work. Through corporate sponsorships, employee volunteerism and employee giving, NXP is committed to supporting communities in the area of STEM education, promoting educational endeavors that encourage students to learn about science, technology, engineering and math to help advance the workforce of the future. At the K-12 level, NXP supports STEM education through efforts focused on teacher excellence, after-school programs, and summer learning.

IEEE Foundation -

As the philanthropic arm of the IEEE, the IEEE Foundation inspires the generosity of donors so it may enable IEEE programs that enhance literacy and education, as well as support the IEEE professional community. The IEEE Foundation relies on donations to bring the exhilaration of scientific discovery to students, foster technological innovation, preserve history, and promote awareness of the long-reaching effects of engineering and its impact on humanity. The Foundation has provided grant funds to the AZ Science Lab and has created an ASL Fund, a mechanism for individuals to donate to the ASL.

Salt River Project -

SRP is the oldest multipurpose federal reclamation project in the United States, serving central Arizona since 1903. Today the SRP power district is one of the nation's largest public power utilities, providing electricity to 1 million customers.
SRP believes in the stewardship of Arizona's natural resources and protecting the water and air quality of our state. SRP supports programs that aim to improve the environmental quality and raise awareness of issues. They also know that the leaders of tomorrow and their future employees are being created by the educational environment today. SRP supports education programs through corporate contributions that increase the quality of math and science education provided to students in grades K-12.

APS Foundation –

The APS Foundation is helping Arizona students prepare to compete in the global economy. A workforce proficient in STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) skills is critical to retaining and attracting high-quality businesses and industries to the state. Since 1981, the APS Foundation has invested more than $38 million to worthy projects throughout Arizona.
The APS Foundation invests in programs that enhance academic achievement in the areas of STEM. A majority of the funding is designated to teachers, who are broadly credited as the single-most important factor in the K-12 educational system. The Foundation targets projects that help educators increase content knowledge in STEM subjects as well as the ability to transfer this knowledge effectively to students.

Intel is partnering with the AZ Science Lab by providing the ASL well trained volunteer engineers and scientists as well as financial support.
